At Nationsfirst, we are renewing Indigenous people financial products. We design solutions that empower Indigenous peoples to save, send, spend, and invest with confidence.
Our leadership brings together diverse expertise across Indigenous rights, law, governance, technology, finance, and sustainable development, all rooted in the vision of economic sovereignty and empowerment.

The Founders
Nationsfirst began with a conversation between Gura Gladeau and Ethan Clark at Montreal’s airport. Both founders of Indigenous-led consultancies, they explored a shared question: What does financial and economic sovereignty truly look like in the digital age?
They saw the barriers Indigenous nations face firsthand—a $500 billion infrastructure gap, high rates of unbanked individuals, and limited access to capital. The solution wasn’t just better financial tools, but a foundation for self-governance, economic sovereignty, and data ownership. Within weeks, Nationsfirst Technologies was formed. Today, it stands as the first Indigenous-owned financial technology company focused on unlocking new economic opportunities and empowering Indigenous Nations to build their own financial futures.

Leadership
Bringing together diverse expertise across Indigenous rights, law, governance, psychology, technology, finance, brand strategy, data strategy, business development, and investment banking. Led by founders with expertise and lived experience, we drive economic sovereignty and financial empowerment for Indigenous communities worldwide.
